Isolation Playbook

 Keep in mind that this is just one example of an isolation play, and there are many different ways to create scoring opportunities in Pro-Am. It's important to practice different moves and plays to find what works best for you and your team.

  • Bring the ball up the court and initiate the play.
  • After crossing half court, call for a pick and roll from one of your big men (e.g. center or power forward) by pressing the "call for screen" button.
  • Use the right thumbstick to initiate a one-on-one move against the defender once you receive the screen.
  • Use a combination of dribble moves, such as crossovers and step-backs, to create separation and get past the defender.
  • Once you have an open lane to the basket, drive towards it and use a layup or dunk animation to finish the play.
  • if the defender goes under the screen, you can stop behind the three point line and use a step back or pull up animation to take a shot.
  • If the screener pops out after the screen, you can pass the ball to him and use the screener as a pick to get open.
