Play 1.

  • The point guard brings the ball up the court and looks to push the tempo.
  • The shooting guard and small forward run the wings, looking for a outlet pass from the point guard.
  • The power forward and center trail the play, looking for a rebound or outlet pass in case of a missed shot.
  • The point guard looks to make a quick pass to either the shooting guard or small forward for a layup or open shot.
  • If the layup or open shot is not available, the point guard can pass to the power forward or center for a dunk or layup.
  • The shooting guard and small forward should also be ready to make a quick pass to the power forward or center if they are open under the basket.
  • If the fastbreak is not successful, the team should quickly transition into a half-court offense to maintain possession and look for a good shot.
